4-20 mA HART Loop Communication and Signal Processing

The Yokogawa AAI135-S50 integrates HART modem functionality to communicate directly with HART field devices connected to analog channels. Therefore, the module can acquire HART variables as additional process input data through the %Z terminal connection.

The module supports up to 16 HART devices and processes up to 32 HART variables. In addition, the HART multidrop function allows connection of up to 5 input devices per channel. However, this configuration only supports HART variable communication and does not transfer analog measurement values or burst communication data.

The module applies DCS-oriented signal conversion processing, converting field analog inputs into FCS internal data for control execution. It also converts internal FCS values into analog output signals when required by the configured application.
