Overview
The Honeywell FC-SDO-0824 is an 8-channel safe digital output module in the Safety Manager / FSC series. It delivers 24 VDC outputs and supports continuous currents of up to 0.55 A per channel. Honeywell engineers this module for high-integrity safety systems and enhances durability with conformal coating that withstands harsh industrial conditions.

These loads may include resistive devices like lamps or inductive devices like solenoids. To protect inductive loads, Honeywell integrates a suppression diode on every output. Because these outputs undergo comprehensive testing, they remain suitable for safety-critical use.
Furthermore, during each configured diagnostic test interval, the module verifies several vital functions. It checks the ability to de-energize individual outputs, confirms the ability to de-energize the entire group through secondary means, and ensures there is no crosstalk between outputs. At the same time, it validates the proper functioning of all suppression diodes. By combining rigorous diagnostics with robust design, the FC-SDO-0824 strengthens operational safety and reliability in demanding environments.
