FOUNDATION Fieldbus H1 Communication

The VE4017P0 provides two FOUNDATION Fieldbus H1 ports for communication with field instruments. Each port can support multiple devices according to the available fieldbus power budget.

The module can operate as a Link Active Scheduler (LAS), coordinating scheduled fieldbus communication between connected devices. In addition, digital communication carries process variables, configuration data, and device status information through the H1 network.
