Overview
The Honeywell 8C-IP0102 is a PROFIBUS Gateway Module designed for the Experion C300 Series, providing a master interface between the C300 controller and PROFIBUS-compatible slave devices. Consequently, it enables seamless and reliable communication across industrial automation systems.
In addition, like all Series 8 modules, the PGM mounts directly on a Series 8 IOTA (I/O Terminal Assembly), which simplifies installation. The module uses a single (6-inch) IOTA, while redundancy is achieved by connecting two IOTAs, two PGMs, and an interlinking sync cable. This configuration ensures continuous operation even if one module fails.
