Overview
The Honeywell FC-USI-0002 is a universal safety interface module in the FSC / Safety Manager series. It bridges communication between the controller and field devices, ensuring efficient exchange of safety-critical signals. Its compact footprint and robust design maintain system integrity in harsh industrial environments.
Moreover, the FC-USI-0002 supports multiple international safety protocols and integrates seamlessly with Honeywell Safety Manager configuration. Its standard rack-compatible dimensions allow installation without compromising space.
The USI-0002 communication module handles Ethernet and Serial communication with external devices, e.g. Experion™ PKS and Safety Builder. It is located in the Controller chassis (see section CPCHAS-0001 or CPCHAS-0002 or CPCHAS-0003).
