Overview
The 990 Vibration Transmitter primarily targets original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of centrifugal air compressors or small pumps, motors, and fans. Therefore, it enables them to provide a simple 4–20 mA proportional vibration signal directly to their machinery control system, simplifying integration while maintaining high measurement reliability.

FAQ
A1: It is designed for use with the 3300 NSv proximity probe and its matching extension cable.
Q2: Can the transmitter be used in hazardous areas?
A2: Yes, it is approved for Non-Hazardous and Zone 2 / Division 2 hazardous environments.
Q3: How is vibration measured and transmitted?
A3: The transmitter converts proximity probe signals into a 4–20 mA output proportional to vibration amplitude.
Q4: What happens during a probe failure?
A4: The “Not OK/Signal Defeat” circuit forces the loop output below 3.6 mA to indicate a fault.
Q5: Does it provide raw vibration data for analysis?
A5: Yes, the PROX OUT terminal and BNC connector allow direct connection to portable analyzers.
