Overview
Functional Description
The ANR10D works as a remote node in Yokogawa’s Field Control I/O (FIO) system. It connects to an ER Bus Interface Master Module (EB401) in a local node or compatible Field Control Unit (FCU).
Through the ER Bus, the unit transfers field I/O signals between remote I/O modules and the control system. At the same time, its power supply configuration provides power to the installed I/O modules. This arrangement supports remote I/O connections within the FIO system.

Ordering Configuration
The complete ordering code includes configuration and option details. Therefore, check each suffix when selecting a replacement unit.
- ANR10D: Node Unit for Dual-Redundant ER Bus.
- /ATDOC: Explosion Protection Manual option.
- /NDEL: Software License for Node Expansion. This option is required for connections with specified AFF50 or AFV10 equipment.
Please note that the /ATDOC suffix identifies a documentation option. However, it does not independently confirm the unit’s explosion protection certification.
ER Bus Communication and System Connection
The ANR10D works as a remote node rather than a direct ESB Bus node. To establish the connection, the corresponding local node or compatible FCU must have an EB401 ER Bus Interface Master Module.
This bus distinction is important when choosing replacement equipment. The ANR10D and ANB10D support different communication architectures. Specifically, the ANR10D connects through the ER Bus, whereas the ANB10D connects through the ESB Bus. Therefore, check the system architecture before selecting either model as a replacement.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the difference between the Yokogawa ANR10D and ANB10D?
A: The ANR10D serves as a remote node unit for the ER Bus, while the ANB10D serves as a local node unit for the ESB Bus. Since they occupy different positions in the FIO architecture, they are not direct substitutes.
Q: What is the function of the /NDEL option?
A: The /NDEL suffix identifies the Software License for Node Expansion. In addition, this option is required when connecting the node unit to specified AFF50 or AFV10 equipment.
Q: Does the ANR10D support dual-redundant operation?
A: Yes. The ANR10D supports dual-redundant ER Bus node configurations. Its specified power supply configuration also uses a dual-redundant arrangement.
